Jesus Said This About Them And Us – Oneness
Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also
which shall believe on me through their word: That they all may be one;
as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us:
that the world may believe that thou hast sent me”
(John 17:20-21).
The Church of Jesus Christ is one harmonized unit – The Body
of Christ. With Christ being the Head of the Church, there can be but one
body that makes Christianity “one.” Jesus only had one body to give up on the
cross so how can there be a body for Messianic Judaism and another body for
the rest of Christianity – separate and unequal. Jesus only is the Head of
One Church – Christianity. It’s bad enough that all that calls [sic]
itself Christian, is not [sic]; but for Messianic Judaism to see
itself other than Christian because of their heritage, is anathema – it’s
accursed – it’s damnable heresy.[64]
Messianic Judaism is an age-old trick of Satan’s to get the
Jewish people out of the will of G-d. They are deceived into taking hold of
the traditions of the Pharisees and incorporating them into Christianity.[65] What they are doing is equally as wretched as what the
early Church in Rome did by incorporating paganism into Christianity and
controlling and manipulating the other churches thus producing the rotten
fruit of Catholicism. To think, Messianic Judaism loath [sic]
Catholicism when the both [sic] of them are the gates of hell
attempting to prevail against the Church of Jesus Christ – The True Church,
that is.
“That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs and of the same body,
and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel” (Ephesians 3:6).
The
same body is the oneness Christ prayed for in His prayer to The Father (John
17:11). Oh, and that’s not “Gentile Christians” because
those Gentiles/heathens who become Born Again Christians become new creatures
in Christ and fellow heirs. Gentile/heathens cannot at the same time be Born
Again hristians [sic]. Please, if a Gentile is a heathen, how can he
remain such if he becomes Born Again and he walks with G-d? Heathens don’t
walk with G-d, for that’s what a Gentile denotes.[66]
Call to mind that there is but One Head – Jesus – with one
body – Church, and One Spirit (Ephesians 4:4). That One Spirit is the Holy
Spirit and He is not operating as one spirit for Messianic Jews and one
spirit for non-Jews. In that One Head, all fullness should
dwell (Colossians 1:19) and that does not mean one group holding to the
traditions of Judaism and the other group isn’t [sic] but is steadily
being reminded that they must get back to their Jewish roots, or should I
say, tradition that is out of the Jewish roots (Colossians 2:8).[67]
The Messianic Jewish Movement believe [sic] “they’ve
got it just right” because of them [sic] being Jews and Jesus was a
Jew, but that’s just not so because … [68]
(1) the New Covenant includes “anybody” that will love and obey G-d;
[69]
(2) the New Covenant was written in Greek
instead of Hebrew as an indication of G-d doing a new thing and in a totally
new way; and [70]
(3) G-d divided the time equally by giving
2,000 years without The Law; 2,000 years with The Law through the Jewish
people[71]; and 2,000 years with His Word through
Christians (Jew and non-Jew) and His Holy Spirit; and the last 1,000 years
will be with His Son ruling and reigning on earth.
No dear people, it’s not about going back to your Jewish
roots and taking whom [sic] you refer to as the “Gentile Church” back
with you – it’s not that at all. G-d is love and all He’s ever wanted from
any human being, Jew or non-Jew, was love. Adam and Eve weren’t Jewish and
all G-d wanted from them was love – not Jewish tradition. G-d wants people to
love Him and His Son and He’s looking for anyone, not “special ones.”
He made that clear in the Old Testament when He made the stranger, the
non-Hebrew, one with the Hebrews.[72]
"Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined
himself to the Lord, speak, saying, The Lord hath utterly separated me from
his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
For thus saith the Lord unto the eunuchs that
keep my Sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my
covenant; Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a
place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an
everlasting name, that shall not be cut off. Also the sons of the stranger,
that join themselves to the Lord, to serve him, and to love the name of the
Lord, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the Sabbath from polluting
it, and taketh hold of my covenant; Even them will I bring to my holy
mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burn offerings
and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall
be called an house of prayer for all people” (Isaiah 56:3-7).
God
is no respecter of persons and because He is not, the only roots The Church
of Jesus Christ, Jew and non-Jew, have to: [sic]
· Renounce Christmas, Easter, and Sunday Sabbath.
· Get back to Saturday Sabbath
· Recognizing [sic] that the Ten Commandments is [sic]
G-d’s Moral Law, His Word, the whole of The Bible, His High Holy Standard,
and that they were not nailed to the cross with Jesus.
· Celebrate the yearly Sabbaths for they are a type and shadow
of New Testament events of which four have already come to pass thus leaving
the three fall feasts to come to pass.
· Stop esteeming Jews because G-d gave them The Law to carry
to the world. Be grateful, yes. Love them, yes, but lifting them up is
detrimental to them. That’s the very thing that has helped give them a “big
head” and not see [sic] themselves as Hebrew Christians.

[64] The real “damnable heresy”
(to use Ms. Nero’s term) is that for the past 1,700 years, Jew-hating
Gentiles like Ms. Nero, using the supposed authority of the King of the Jews,
have tried to take away from the Messiah’s kinsmen (Israel) the very
covenants that G-d made with Avraham, Yitzhak, and Ya'akov and with their
physical descendents forever, and usurp those covenants for themselves.
Believing Gentiles who are “fellow heirs” to the covenants of Israel are
adopted, or grafted, into the family of Abraham, and are the adopted brothers
and sisters who have systematically stolen the birthright of the natural-born
sons of Israel.
They conveniently “forget” that prior to about 50 CE (the
Council of Jerusalem in
Acts 15), in order for a Gentile to be able to worship the one true G-d,
he first had to become a Jew by submitting to the covenant of circumcision,
the mitzvah of mikvah (proselyte immersion), taking a Hebrew name, and then
offering a sacrifice in the Temple — he or she had to “become” a Jew in order
to be accepted by G-d. And it wasn’t until about 135 CE that “Christians”
could be found anywhere but in the Synagogue, because that is where Believers
in Mashiach congregated for worship. For all the talk in the “Gentile church”
about their desire to be “a First-Century church,” it is only
Messianic Judaism which actually practices as a true “First-Century
church.”
It was the “Gentile Christians,” not the Messianic Jews, who
created the rift between the Synagogue and the “church.” Gentile Believers
left the Messianic Synagogue to form “the church” — exactly the opposite of
Ms. Nero’s claim.
[65] [67]As repeatedly discussed
above and in many other articles on this web site, true Messianic Judaism
actually rejects the authority of “the traditions of the Pharisees” and
accepts as authoritative only that which is written in the Scriptures. [Return to 67] In fact,
the “Gentile church” — with its setting aside and replacing the G-d-ordained
Shabbat with reverence of the day of the sun-god (Sun-day), its observance of
the Feast of Ishtar (Easter) with all its fertility symbolism as a
replacement for the G-d-ordained Feasts of Passover and First Fruits, and its
observance of ChristMass, complete with tree-worship and “Saint”
Nicholas, as a substitute for celebrating the actual date of Yeshua’s birth
during the
Feast of Tabernacles — is in actual practice much closer to the
Babylonian Mystery Religion that Constantine dressed up with “Bible words”
and made the official religion of the Roman Empire in 325 CE than it is to
the form of faith and practice that was established by the Shliachim who
wrote the B'rit Chadasha!
Ms. Nero seems to feel that when a Jew becomes a Believer in
Mashiach, he/she should instantly give up all the traditions that have
enabled Israel to survive as an identifiable ethnic group for the past 4,000
years, and be content to “become a Gentile” and to live and worship alongside
the very same Gentiles who have been persecuting them for the past 1,700
years, and who continue to do so (as Ms. Nero does)!
Ms. Nero refers in her article to her “blackness,” and it is
to that issue to which I would like to briefly turn some attention. Ms. Nero
insists that a Jew should be able to find meaningful worship in a
congregation of so-called “believers” who insist that everything that Yeshua
believed, practiced, and taught is “damnable heresy.” Forced to worship on
Sunday instead of on Shabbat as commanded by the very finger of G-d in stone
on Sinai, he is told that the wearing of the tallit is an abomination, even
though Yeshua wore a tallit and Rabbi Sha'ul was by profession a tallit-maker.
He is told that to respect the Torah scroll is an abomination, even though
Yeshua respected the Torah scroll. He is told that he must give up the
covenant of circumcision that the faithful children of Avraham have obeyed
for over 4,000 years. The Jew is told, in effect, that his very Jewishness is
an abomination.
I would like Ms. Nero to consider how much of a worship
experience she could have if she were told that the only acceptable “format”
for worship is to wear a white robe with a red cross on front and back, a
white hood worn over the head with eye-holes cut in it, an axe-handle or
baseball bat carried in one hand and a rope tied in a hangman’s noose in the
other hand, while dancing around a flaming cross in the middle of the night,
chanting epithets against black people and proclaiming that blackness is an
abomination. I am absolutely certain that she would not find that a very
worshipful experience.
By comparison, that is exactly what she is expecting a Jewish
believer in Mashiach to do. And I would remind her that black people have
been persecuted for only about 200 years, compared to the nearly 3,000 years
that Israelites have been persecuted. The wounds go correspondingly deeper.
[66] Again, I must remind the
reader that Ms. Nero has re-defined the word gentile to mean
“heathen.” The true and actual meaning of the word gentile is
“non-Jew.”
[68] The Messianic Jewish
Movement now includes about the same number of non-Jewish believers as Jewish
believers, so being an ethnic Jew really has very little to do with what the
Movement believes.
[69] Both the “Original
Covenant” and the “Renewed Covenant” have always included anybody who
would love and obey G-d. [click
here for an example]
[70] Modern biblical scholarship
is coming more and more to accept the probability that the B'rit Chadasha was
originally written in Hebrew and then almost immediately translated into
Greek for distribution to the Messianic Synagogues in the Diaspora. [some
links]
[71] It is a common
misconception among Gentiles that the Hebrew term Torah means “Law,”
and that it was something that was given to the Jews for a rule of life until
it was replaced by “grace.” The truth is that while the Torah (the
first five books of the Tanakh that were delivered “face-to-face” to Moshe
[Moses] by Adonai) contain some laws as Israel’s national
“Constitution,” the term Torah is better translated as “divine
instruction.” If one believes that Yeshua is G-d, and that G-d delivered the
Torah to Moshe, then it is necessary to believe that it was Yeshua
who delivered Torah to Moshe! The Torah is therefore the “word
of Yeshua!” And Yeshua said about the Torah,
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but
My
words will not pass away” and “For most assuredly, I tell you, until
heaven and eretz pass away, not even one smallest letter or one tiny
pen stroke shall in any way pass away from the Torah, until all things
are accomplished.” (Matt. 5:17).
[72] Apparently Ms. Nero did not
bother to actually read the Isaiah passage that she cites. It says that G-d
joins “the stranger” to the people of Israel only under the condition
that the stranger becomes as the Israelites, takes hold of the covenant,
keeps the 7th-day Shabbat, offers sacrifices in the Temple, and walks in
obedience to Torah — exactly what non-Jews who identify with Messianic
Judaism strive to do. This is best expressed in the words of
Ruth:
“Don't entreat me to leave you, and to return from following after you, for
where you go, I will go; and where you lodge, I will lodge; your people shall
be my people, and your G-d my G-d; where you die, will I die, and there will
I be buried: the LORD do so to me, and more also, if anything but death part
you and me.”
And so the Gentile Ruth followed Naomi and she became a Jew, the
grandmother of King David. Unless Ms. Nero is willing to embrace Messianic
Judaism as Ruth did, she cannot apply Isaiah 56:3-7 to herself.
