Israel will Become a Nation in a Day,
Literally in the Spring
ISAIAH 66:8 -
Show Context
Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things?
Can a land be born in one day? Can a nation be brought forth all at once?
As soon as Zion travailed, she also brought forth her sons.

Now the LORD said to Abram,
"Go forth from your country, And from your relatives And from your
father's house, To the land which I will show you (Eretz Israel, which
includes all the land from the Nile to the Euphrates);
And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your
name great; And so you shall be a blessing; And I will bless those who
bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the
families of the earth will be blessed."

Then He said to me, "Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say
to the breath, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "Come from the four winds (all
the world), O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they come to
life."'" (come back to life) So I prophesied as He commanded me,
and the breath came into them, and they came to life and stood on their
feet, an exceedingly great army. (Israel is to have an exceedingly
powerful army.) Then He said to me, "Son of man, these bones are the
whole house of Israel; behold, they say, 'Our bones are dried up and our
hope has perished. We are completely cut off.' (Killed and burned by
Hitler.) "Therefore prophesy and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD,
"Behold, I will open your graves and cause you to come up out of your
graves, My people; and I will bring you into the land of Israel. (the
"dry bones" come together alive in Eretz Israel) Then you will know
that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves and caused you to come
up out of your graves (come back to Eretz Israel alive), My people.
I will put My Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh) within you and you will come
to life (be restored as a nation), and I will place you on your own
land (Eretz Israel). Then you will know that I, the LORD, have
spoken and done it," declares the LORD.'"
The word of the LORD came again to me saying, "And you, son of man,
take for yourself one stick and write on it, 'For Judah and for the sons
of Israel, his companions' (the tribes of Judah and Benjamin, the
southern kingdom); then take another stick and write on it, 'For
Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and all the house of Israel, his companions.'
(the northern kingdom, the remaining ten tribes) Then join them for
yourself one to another into one stick, that they may become one in your
hand. (all twelve tribes united as one nation) When the sons of
your people speak to you saying, 'Will you not declare to us what you mean
by these?' say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, I will take the
stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim (the northern kingdom,
the ten northern tribes) , and the tribes of Israel, his companions;
and I will put them with it, with the stick of Judah (the tribes of
Judah and Benjamin, the southern kingdom), and make them one stick,
and they will be one in My hand.'" (all twelve tribes united as one
nation)
"The sticks on which you write will be in your hand before their eyes.
Say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, I will take the sons of
Israel from among the nations where they have gone (all the tribes in
the Diaspora), and I will gather them from every side (from every
nation on earth) and bring them into their own land (Eretz Israel);
and I will make them one nation in the land (Eretz Israel), on
the mountains of Israel; and one king (Yeshua HaMashiach ben David)
will be king for all of them; and they will no longer be two nations and
no longer be divided into two kingdoms. They will no longer defile
themselves with their idols, or with their detestable things, or with any
of their transgressions (they will return to God and to
His Torah); but I will deliver them from all their dwelling places in
which they have sinned, and will cleanse them. And they will be My people,
and I will be their God. My servant David (Mashiach ben David) will
be king over them, and they will all have one shepherd (Yeshua
HaMashiach ben David); and they will walk in My ordinances and keep My
statutes and observe them (they will return to God and to
His Torah). They will live on the land (Eretz Israel) that I
gave to Jacob My servant, in which your fathers lived; and they will live
on it, they, and their sons and their sons' sons, forever; and David My
servant (Yeshua HaMashiach ben David) will be their prince forever.
I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be an
everlasting covenant with them. And I will place them and multiply them,
and will set My sanctuary (the restored Holy Temple) in their midst
forever. My dwelling place (Tabernacle, or Temple) also will be
with them; and I will be their God, and they will be My people. And the
nations will know that I am the LORD who sanctifies Israel, when My
sanctuary is in their midst forever.'""

Israel's Inhabited Land in the Future

Avraham, Yitzhak, and Ya'akov in Genesis 15:18 |
These are the boundaries of the land that Israel will inhabit in the
near future: Eretz Israel and all of the so-called "disputed
territories," Egypt east of the Nile River, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Jordan,
Syria, Lebanon, Southern Turkey, and Iraq west of the Euphrates.

Moses, saying, "Command the sons of Israel and say to them, 'When you
enter the land of Canaan, this is the land that shall fall to you as an
inheritance, {even the} land of Canaan according to its borders. Your
southern sector shall extend from the wilderness of Zin along the side of
Edom, and your southern border shall extend from the end of the Salt Sea
eastward. Then your border shall turn {direction} from the south to the
ascent of Akrabbim and continue to Zin, and its termination shall be to
the south of Kadesh-barnea; and it shall reach Hazaraddar and continue to
Azmon. The border shall turn {direction} from Azmon to the brook of Egypt,
and its termination shall be at the sea. As for the western border, you
shall have the Great Sea, that is, {its} coastline; this shall be your
west border. And this shall be your north border: you shall draw your
{border} line from the Great Sea to Mount Hor. You shall draw a line from
Mount Hor to the Lebo-hamath, and the termination of the border shall be
at Zedad; and the border shall proceed to Ziphron, and its termination
shall be at Hazar-enan. This shall be your north border. For your eastern
border you shall also draw a line from Hazar-enan to Shepham, and the
border shall go down from Shepham to Riblah on the east side of Ain; and
the border shall go down and reach to the slope on the east side of the
Sea of Chinnereth. And the border shall go down to the Jordan and its
termination shall be at the Salt Sea. This shall be your land according to
its borders all around.' "

Thus says the Lord GOD,
"This {shall be} the boundary by which you shall divide the land for an
inheritance among the twelve tribes of Israel; Joseph {shall have} two
portions. You shall divide it for an inheritance, each one equally with
the other; for I swore to give it to your forefathers, and this land shall
fall to you as an inheritance. This {shall be} the boundary of the land:
on the north side, from the Great Sea {by} the way of Hethlon, to the
entrance of Zedad; Hamath, Berothah, Sibraim, which is between the border
of Damascus and the border of Hamath; Hazer-hatticon, which is by the
border of Hauran. The boundary shall extend from the sea {to} Hazar-enan
{at} the border of Damascus, and on the north toward the north is the
border of Hamath. This is the north side.
The east side, from between Hauran, Damascus, Gilead and the land
of Israel, {shall be} the Jordan; from the {north} border to the eastern
sea you shall measure. This is the east side.
The south side toward the south {shall extend} from Tamar as far as
the waters of Meribath-kadesh, to the brook {of Egypt and} to the Great
Sea. This is the south side toward the south.
The west side {shall be} the Great Sea, from the {south} border to
a point opposite Lebo-hamath. This is the west side.
So you shall divide this land among yourselves according to the
tribes of Israel. You shall divide it by lot for an inheritance among
yourselves and among the aliens who stay in your midst, who bring forth
sons in your midst. And they shall be to you as the native-born among the
sons of Israel; they shall be allotted an inheritance with you among the
tribes of Israel. And in the tribe with which the alien stays, there you
shall give {him} his inheritance," declares the Lord GOD.

[Dan:] Now these are
the names of the tribes: from the northern extremity, beside the way of
Hethlon to Lebo-hamath, {as far as} Hazar-enan {at} the border of
Damascus, toward the north beside Hamath, running from east to west, Dan,
one {portion.}
[Asher:]
Beside the border of Dan, from the east side to the west side, Asher, one
{portion.}
[Naphtali:]
Beside the border of Asher, from the east side to the west side, Naphtali,
one {portion.}
[Manasseh:]
Beside the border of Naphtali, from the east side to the west side,
Manasseh, one {portion.}
[Ephraim:]
Beside the border of Manasseh, from the east side to the west side,
Ephraim, one {portion.}
[Reuben:]
Beside the border of Ephraim, from the east side to the west side, Reuben,
one {portion.}
[Judah:]
Beside the border of Reuben, from the east side to the west side, Judah,
one {portion.}
[The
Priests (Sons of Zadok) and Temple Grounds:] And beside the border of
Judah, from the east side to the west side, shall be the allotment which
you shall set apart, 25,000 {cubits} in width, and in length like one of
the portions, from the east side to the west side; and the sanctuary shall
be in the middle of it. The allotment that you shall set apart to the LORD
{shall be} 25,000 {cubits} [7.1 miles*] in length and 10,000 [2.84
miles*] in width. The holy
allotment shall be for these, {namely} for the priests, toward the north
25,000 {cubits [7.1 miles*] in length,} toward the west 10,000 [2.84
miles*] in width, toward
the east 10,000 [2.84 miles*] in width, and toward the south 25,000
[7.1 miles*] in length; and the sanctuary of the LORD shall be in its
midst. {It shall be} for the priests who are sanctified of the sons of
Zadok, who have kept My charge, who did not go astray when the sons of
Israel went astray as the Levites went astray. It shall be an allotment to
them from the allotment of the land, a most holy place, by the border of
the Levites.
[The
Levites:] Alongside the border of the priests the Levites {shall have}
25,000 {cubits} [7.1 miles*] in length and 10,000 [2.84 miles*] in width. The whole length
{shall be} 25,000 {cubits} [7.1 miles*] and the width 10,000 [2.84
miles*]. Moreover, they
shall not sell or exchange any of it, or alienate this choice {portion} of
land; for it is holy to the LORD.
[City
Commons:] The remainder, 5,000 {cubits} [1.42 miles*] in width and 25,000 [7.1
miles*] in length, shall be for common use for the city, for dwellings and
for open spaces; and the city shall be in its midst. These {shall be} its
measurements: the north side 4,500 {cubits} [1.28 miles*], the south side
4,500 {cubits} [1.28 miles*], the east side 4,500 {cubits} [1.28 miles*],
and the west side 4,500 {cubits} [1.28 miles*]. The city shall have open
spaces: on the north 250 {cubits} [125 yards*], on the south 250 {cubits}
[125 yards*], on the east 250 {cubits} [125 yards*], and on the west 250
{cubits} [125 yards*].
[Farm Land
in the City:] The remainder of the length alongside the holy allotment
shall be 10,000 {cubits} [2.84 miles*] toward the east and 10,000 [2.84
miles*] toward the west;
and it shall be alongside the holy allotment. And its produce shall be
food for the workers of the city. The workers of the city, out of all the
tribes of Israel, shall cultivate it. The whole allotment {shall be}
25,000 [7.1 miles*] by 25,000 {cubits} [7.1 miles*]; you shall set apart
the holy allotment, a square, with the property of the city.
[The
Prince:] The remainder {shall be} for the prince, on the one side and
on the other of the holy allotment and of the property of the city; in
front of the 25,000 {cubits} [7.1 miles*] of the allotment toward
the east border and westward in front of the 25,000 [7.1 miles*] toward
the west border, alongside the portions, {it shall be} for the prince. And
the holy allotment and the sanctuary of the house shall be in the middle
of it. Exclusive of the property of the Levites and the property of the
city, {which} are in the middle of that which belongs to the prince,
{everything} between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin shall
be for the prince.
[Benjamin:]
As for the rest of the tribes: from the east side to the west side,
Benjamin, one {portion.}
[Simeon:]
Beside the border of Benjamin, from the east side to the west side,
Simeon, one {portion.}
[Issachar:]
Beside the border of Simeon, from the east side to the west side, Issachar,
one {portion.}
[Zebulun:]
Beside the border of Issachar, from the east side to the west side,
Zebulun, one {portion.}
[Gad:]
Beside the border of Zebulun, from the east side to the west side, Gad,
one {portion.}
And beside the
border of Gad, at the south side toward the south, the border shall be
from Tamar to the waters of Meribath-kadesh, to the brook {of Egypt,} to
the Great Sea. This is the land which you shall divide by lot to the
tribes of Israel for an inheritance, and these are their {several}
portions," declares the Lord GOD.
These are the exits of
the city: on the north side, 4,500 {cubits} [1.28 miles*] by measurement,
shall be the gates of the city, named for the tribes of Israel, three
gates toward the north: the gate of Reuben, one; the gate of Judah, one;
the gate of Levi, one. On the east side, 4,500 {cubits} [1.28 miles*],
shall be three gates: the gate of Joseph, one; the gate of Benjamin, one;
the gate of Dan, one. On the south side, 4,500 {cubits} [1.28 miles*] by
measurement, shall be three gates: the gate of Simeon, one; the gate of
Issachar, one; the gate of Zebulun, one. On the west side, 4,500 {cubits
[1.28 miles*], shall be} three gates: the gate of Gad, one; the gate of
Asher, one; the gate of Naphtali, one. {The city shall be} 18,000 {cubits}
[5.11 miles] round about; and the name of the city from {that} day {shall
be,} 'The LORD is there. [YHWH Shamah]' "
